The Centre had declared the approval for the setting up of AIIMS in Bibinagar, Telangana. The approval was declared by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
The project will be a 960-bedded facility with a medical college with seats and 42 100 superspeciality services. It will be comprised of basic science departments like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, community medicine and forensic medicine along with other departments like physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR) and ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, unani, siddha and homoeopathy (AYUSH) facilities.
